Snowbasin Announces 2022 Summer Offerings

Tue May 24 2022

Snowbasin is excited to announce its summer offerings, which include the lineup for the resort’s annual outdoor concert series, revamped lift-served trails, mountain-top brunch and additional activities for all ages. The resort is preparing to welcome guests back to the mountain on June 18, 2022.

Snowbasin’s summer services and offerings include:

  • Scenic Gondola Access: Needles Gondola will run on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for guests seeking sightseeing experiences or lift-served hiking and biking trails. Tickets can be purchased in person or online. Snowbasin Premier Pass Holders will receive summer gondola access through the purchase of their annual season pass.
  • Mountain Biking & Hiking Trails: Snowbasin will be providing guests access to over 20 trails spanning 26 miles that can be accessed by foot, bike or gondola. The resort has doubled its trail maintenance crew for 2022 to improve and expand the current routes. With the addition of the newly refined Cirque Loop, bikers and hikers will have access to new points across the 3,000 acres that make up Snowbasin. You can view the resort’s summer trail map online at snowbasin.com.
  • Mountain-Top Dining: Snowbasin’s elevated dining experience will return to Needles Lodge with lunch served Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After a brief ride on Needles Gondola, guests can enjoy patio seating and views from 8,700 feet up. The resort’s all-you-can-eat expansive brunch buffet features award-winning dining with stations providing crepes, freshly carved meats, omelets, elaborate desserts and more. Brunch reservations are recommended and can be made online.
  • Mini-Golf: The family-friendly 18-hole Wildflower Mini-Golf Course, located at the resort’s base area, between Needles Gondola and John Paul Express, will be accessible to visitors Saturdays and Sundays during summer operations or daily for private events. Tickets are available at the resort or can be purchased online.

In addition, Snowbasin will be bringing back two guest favorites, Blues, Brews & BBQ and SnowWiesn, under a new format. Due to continued inflation and labor shortages, the resort will begin charging admittance for the outdoor concert series. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Ogden Valley Land Trust and GOAL Foundation to assist with their respective missions to better local communities. Premier Season Pass Holders will gain free entry, while other guests can gain one-time access into the designated concerts through the purchase of one of the following options:

  • Single-day Concert Ticket: $10
  • Summer Concert Series Pass: $75
  • Gondola Ticket: $25
  • Summer Gondola Pass: $150
  • Premier Season Pass: Prices can be found here

“The quality of the event, which we strive to provide, can only be maintained with an incredible and dedicated team to put on the show,” said Davy Ratchford, General Manager of Snowbasin Resort. “Although we have been proud to offer our beloved concert series free of charge in the past, given the current climate, we have prioritized bringing on the right team at a competitive wage and the food and beverage offerings that our guests have come to love and expect, thus creating the need to move away from our previous model. We will, however, continue to offer complimentary concert access to our loyal Premier Pass Holders to showcase our sincere thanks for their ongoing support. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to a fun summer ahead.”

The resort’s laid-back Blues, Brews & BBQ and Oktoberfest-themed SnowWiesn, will be held Sundays on the lawn next to Earl’s Lodge. The events will offer delicious food and refreshing brews. Popular acts, including the Kris Lager Band and Andy Frasco, will return this season along with other crowd favorites.
