Huntsville, UT – March 19, 2026 – Snowbasin Resort, one of the nation’s top-rated ski resorts, announced that its 2025–26 ski season will conclude on Sunday, March 22, with its annual Basin Bash event. The closing weekend will celebrate another year on the slopes and the resort’s historic 85th ski season with an ’80s-themed celebration, complete with spring skiing, live music, and patio après.
“It’s hard to believe we’re at this point in the season yet again, with warmer temperatures settling in and another winter on the mountain coming to a close,” said Davy Ratchford, General Manager of Snowbasin Resort. “It’s never easy to make the call on a closing date, but in this industry, we work with the hand Mother Nature deals us, reflect on the memories made, and keep the stoke alive for the season to come. Even with the challenges this season brought, our team stayed focused on delivering a great experience and making the most of every opportunity on the mountain. From moving and farming snow to taking advantage of every snowmaking window, it was a true team effort. I’m incredibly proud of all of our departments, especially our patrol, snowmaking, and grooming crews, who played a critical role throughout this unique season. It’s that same dedication that has us excited for what’s ahead.”
Despite a challenging winter across the region, Snowbasin delivered a strong guest experience, achieving an all-time high in service scores. The milestone reflects both the dedication of resort teams and the positive spirit of guests who embraced the season and made the most of their time on the mountain.
“This season reminded us of the caliber of community we’re surrounded by up here,” Ratchford said. “Our guests showed up with patience, good spirits, and a level of understanding that’s truly unparalleled. We’re excited to wrap up our 85th season with everyone and encourage folks to come out and be part of our annual Basin Bash tradition, with spring skiing, great food, live music, and plenty of ’80s flair.”
Guests are invited to send off the season at Basin Bash on Sunday, March 22. The ’80s-themed celebration will take over Earl’s patio with live music, costumes, and Snowbasin’s signature food and beverage offerings. Highlights include an ’80s tribute band, a costume contest, and food and brews. Prizes will be awarded to guests who show up in their best throwback gear.
Snowbasin plans to maintain as much terrain as possible through closing weekend, with six lifts spinning: Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl, Littlecat, Wildcat Express, Porcupine, and the Wildcat Handle Tow. Dining will be available at Earl’s Lodge in the base area and Needle’s Lodge midmountain.
