Our award-winning Snow Sports School inspires children to actively learn skiing and snowboarding in a fun and safe environment. Children are grouped by age and ability, with dedicated instructors tailoring lessons around the needs and abilities of each child. Lessons are available in both single-day and seasonal programs for the 2022-23 winter season.

"Welcome to Snowbasin and our snowy playground. We are glad to have you with us. Our instructors are excited to help you learn new skills, build your confidence, and get you to the terrain you want to play on.

Connecting with you and your family in a fun, safe, environment is a step in forming a lifelong relationship with the sport and people. We have programs and lessons to suit every age, ability, and desire. I look forward to seeing you on the slopes."

Lesson Day Information

Please arrive dressed and ready for your lesson 15 to 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. You'll check in outside the Learning Center in the meadow with our lesson staff wearing red coats.

If you have reserved ski or snowboard rentals with your lesson you may come into the Learning Center to pick them up. For children, a guardian will need to come in to pick up their rental equipment. We ask for only one adult to accompany minors. Most importantly, if you are sick or your kids are sick stay home and reschedule your lesson.

Children should arrive for their lesson dressed and ready to go. Drop off and pickup will take place in the Wildflower Meadow, the open space outside the Learning Center in the base area.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your child’s lesson time. Our staff will check you in and group your child according to their ability level.

If your child is picking up rental gear, that will be available for you inside the Learning Center.

Helmets are required. Your child should wear sun protection, even on a cloudy day. Children must have goggles or sunglasses.

It may be smart to label your childs boots, skis/snowboard, goggles, and gloves with your child’s first and last name.
