Preparing for Your Lesson

Your guide to lesson day

You’ve booked your lesson, now let’s get you ready. Whether it’s your first day on snow or your fifth season with us, this guide covers everything you need to know before you arrive, from where to park and check in to what to bring, so you can spend less time figuring things out and more time on the mountain.

Getting Here

Parking at Snowbasin is free, and a shuttle will take you from the lot straight to Earl’s Plaza. From there, head to the Grizzly Center, on your right as you face the mountain. It’s home to the rental shop, with the Learning Center attached and accessible through its own entrance. Most lessons begin there.

If it’s your first time at Snowbasin, plan to arrive about an hour before your lesson. That gives you time to park, find your way, and get geared up without rushing. Returning skiers and riders can plan around their usual routine, just leave enough time to check in 15 minutes before your lesson starts.

Check-In Times & Locations

Please check in 15 minutes before your lesson start time, at the times listed below. Your booking confirmation will have your lesson start time.

Most lessons start at or near the Learning Center, which has its own entrance on the Grizzly Center building. The Wildflower Meadow is just outside the Learning Center, where you’ll find the Ability Level flags and the Kids Corral, marked by red fencing.

Learn & Earn

Learn & Earn lessons work a little differently. Start by picking up your gear and Season Pass at the Grizzly Center. Lessons can’t be booked until your gear is picked up, so plan to grab it before your first lesson day. The earlier you come, the sooner your summer perks begin, too.

Once you have your gear, reserve your lessons through your My Account. Walk-ups aren’t accepted, and early-season spots are limited, so book early. On lesson day, check in at the times listed above. Years 1 and 2 follow the group lesson times, and Year 3 follows the private lesson times.
