Private lessons are the most personal way to experience Snowbasin. Instructors from our award-winning Ski and Ride School tailor every lesson to your goals and ability, whether you’re coming on your own, with friends, or with the whole family. Book a half-day or all-day lesson for up to five people, with access to the priority Ski and Ride School lift line so you spend more time on snow.

All Abilities

A day of exploring the mountain together. Your instructor guides your family or friends to the terrain you want to ski, helping everyone build control and confidence as a group. Groups can include up to two children ages 6 and under.

Intermediate to Advanced

For skiers and riders who want more powder, more trees, and more vertical. Our most experienced local guides lead a fast-paced day through some of Snowbasin’s best terrain.

Half Day Private

All Abilities

A focused morning or afternoon with your own instructor, for up to five people. Come on your own, bring friends, or make it a family lesson. Your instructor starts at your group’s ability level and builds from there, whether you’re working on first turns or fine-tuning your technique.

First Tracks

Get a head start on the day. Add First Tracks to your private lesson and start loading at 8 am, a full hour before the mountain opens to the public. Whether it’s fresh powder after a storm or sunrise over freshly groomed runs, you and your instructor get the mountain first, before the crowds arrive. It’s the kind of start that sets the tone for the whole day.

First Tracks is an exclusive add-on for private lesson guests, available with any all-day or morning half-day private. Available for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders. Add it when you book, by noon the day before your lesson.

Mini Cub Private

Ages 3-4 | One Hour

A first lesson is a big moment, and our Mini Cub Private is designed to make it a good one. Your child gets an hour of one-on-one instruction from a dedicated instructor in our award-winning Ski and Ride School, who tailors every minute to their needs, energy, and comfort level.

It’s an easy way to introduce little ones to skiing or snowboarding at their own pace, building skills and confidence in a fun, safe setting. Lessons are offered in the morning or afternoon, so you can plan around naps, snacks, and the rest of your day.
