Snowbasin Extends 2022-23 Season

Snowbasin Extends 2022-23 Season

Snowbasin Resort just announced a season extension to top off this historic winter! Previously scheduled to close April 16, the resort has officially added an extra week of skiing and riding to the roster and will now be shutting down shop on Sunday, April 23. Having kicked off the season with the earliest opening on record, the resort will hold 156 ski days on the calendar, making this the longest season in the resort's over 80 years of service.

“What a brilliant season we are having. One for the record books to be sure. I’m very proud to announce that we will be extending this winter season to Sunday, April 23rd,” said Davy Ratchford, General Manager of Snowbasin Resort. “With the earliest opening we’ve ever had, and now this extra week, this will officially be Snowbasin’s longest season on record. We appreciate our season pass holders so much and love the record utilization they are having on their season passes. We’re excited to keep the fun going and enjoy these incredible conditions together. I want to express my sincere appreciation to my staff for making this bonus week possible. It is simply not possible to make this happen without them.”

This announcement comes on the tail of the resort launching next winter’s season passes with the added incentive to ski free this spring when you shop now. There is still plenty of time left to shred, and with Snowbasin having reached over 420 inches of snow this is officially the 5th snowiest season on record. More snow is on the way, and additional records are within reach.

Be on the lookout because this season still has some surprises left in store.
