Snowbasin Announces Spring Event Series

Spring It On Event Header - Presented by Snowbasin Resort, Coca Cola, and Uinta Brewing

Snowbasin is jumping into Springtime fun with the launch of its ‘Spring it On’ event series presented by Coca-Cola and Uinta Brewing. Complete with a Spring Showdown Rail Jam hosted by Tom Wallisch, the 9th annual Pond Skim and a Basin Bash 80s party for closing day - spring skiing has never been better.


Snowbasin’s Spring Showdown

The Spring it On series will kick off with an epic, high-stakes rail jam hosted by X Games Gold Medalist, Tom Wallisch, on Saturday, April 1. Skiers and riders will throw their best tricks alongside professional athletes competing for a $1,000 cash purse per category and other incredible prizes.

Online registration for the showdown will open soon, and will be $35, which includes a lift ticket to the lower half of the mountain.This competition is reserved for those 16 years or older. An amateur jam will be held ahead of the pro competition and will be $10 for those interested in throwing down. A helmet is required to participate and the event will feature the following competition categories:

Spring Showdown Schedule

  • 11:00am: Check-in 
  • 12:00pm: Am Jam Practice
  • 12:30pm: Am Jam Competition 
  • 1:30pm: Pro Practice Begins
  • 2:00pm: Pro Competition
  • 3:30pm: Awards Ceremony

9th Annual Pond Skim

The iconic season cross-over event of the year will be making its return to Snowbasin on Saturday, April 15. Guests are encouraged to dress in their wildest costumes and attempt the ride of their life at the resort’s 9th Annual Pond Skim. Along with the 80-foot adrenalin rush, everyone can enjoy great tunes, food and spring weather! 

Online registration is limited to 200 people, with registration opening Tuesday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. An additional 50 spots will be reserved for day-of registration at 9 a.m. at the Activities Desk inside Earl's Lodge. Participation costs $10, with proceeds donated to the Weber County Fire Department. Participants must sign a waiver and are encouraged to bring a towel.

Basin Bash

The Spring it On series and ski season will come to a close with the inaugural Basin Bash on Sunday, April 23. This 80s-themed affair will be headlined by the notorious 80s tribute band, The Breakfast Club, and include live music, wicked costumes and Snowbasin’s rad food & beverage scene. 

The event will take over Earl’s patio with jams beginning at noon.
