Hiking
Snowbasin's hiking trails range from easy, family-friendly walks near the base area to ridgeline routes with sweeping views of Ogden Valley and Pineview Reservoir. Three hiking-only trails climb to the crest of the ridge, and Needles Gondola provides weekend access to upper-mountain trailheads for those who want to skip the climb. Wildflowers are abundant from late June through August. Grab a copy of our Common Wildflower Sheet to identify what you see along the way.
Biking
With more than 26 miles of maintained singletrack on-mountain, plus connections to nearly 50 miles of US Forest Service trails, Snowbasin is one of Northern Utah's largest mountain biking trail networks. Trails wind through aspen groves and pine glades at elevations ranging from the base area to above 9,000 feet. Needles Gondola provides weekend lift-served bike access for riders looking to maximize downhill runs. Trails range from beginner-friendly cross-country routes to technical descents with switchbacks and elevation drops, making Snowbasin a strong fit for riders of all levels.
New for summer 2026, Snowbasin is building a lift-served bike park powered by SCOTT. Located off Littlecat Express, the park will feature four to five purpose-built trails ranging from mellow, beginner-friendly runs with dirt berms and wooden skill features to intermediate and advanced flow trails with tabletops, step-downs, and wooden features throughout. The park is designed to grow, with room to expand in future seasons. SCOTT bike rentals will be available at the Grizzly Center beginning in 2027.
E-Bikes
E-bikes are permitted on all trails within the Snowbasin Resort boundary and on Needles Gondola (riders must load bikes unassisted). E-bikes are not permitted on adjacent US Forest Service trails, including Sardine Peak, Wheeler Canyon, East Fork, and Middle Fork. Check the summer trail map for boundary details.
