FAQs

Do you have wireless internet? How much does it cost?

We offer free public Wi-Fi in our lodges. Earl’s Lodge has Wi-Fi available in the Main Dining Room, Huntington Room and Cinnabar. Needles Lodge and John Paul Lodge have Wi-Fi available on the main level.

Why can't I update the Snowbasin App?

We stopped updating our app a couple of winters ago. Our website is fully mobile friendly and you can find out the latest and greatest on the Conditions page. You can also follow us on social media for updates as well. If you liked to use the tracking aspect of the app there are many great free ones you can download like Snocru or Skitracks to just name a few.

Where can we have an alcoholic beverage?

We have many majestic lodges where alcoholic beverages can be purchased. Located inside of Earl's Lodge, the Cinnabar is a full bar with a full complement of spirits, wines and local beers. The Cinnabar is a dining licensed eatery, which means beverages can only be served to legal aged adults while they dine – open beverages cannot leave the restaurant space. At Earl’s Lodge, Needles Lodge, John Paul Lodge, and Strawberry Café, we sell beer to guests on-premise. In all of our lodges, we do not allow any guest to possess or consume their own alcoholic beverages that were not purchased on-premise from a licensed service staff member.

It is unlawful to possess or consume alcohol on Snowbasin Resort property that wasn’t purchased through a licensed facility on-premise. This boundary also includes public spaces around the Resort that are private property: all lodges, patio spaces, lifts and parking lot. To be served an alcoholic beverage at Snowbasin Resort, you must be of legal age (21 & over) and have a valid state-issued ID, passport or Military ID as proof.

Where can we park?

We offer complimentary parking in five locations: Earl’s Lot, Maples Lot, Canyon Rim Lot, Wildcat Lot and Green Pond Lot. Transportation to the Base Area is provided from all locations at designated pick-up sites. Handicap parking is available in Earl’s Lot. Conditions permitting, guests may ski to vehicles in Earl’s Lot, Maples Lot and Wildcat Lot.

If you have 3 or more people in your car, you get priority parking in Lot A of Earl's Lot. This is a first-come, first-serve basis.

Can we camp at Snowbasin?

We do not allow overnight camping on Snowbasin's premises. If found camping, our security will ask you to leave the premise. We appreciate your cooperation.

What is Snowbasin Resort's drone policy?

Due to safety and privacy concerns, we prohibit the operation or use on or above Resort property of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public — including model aircraft by recreational users and hobbyists. Commercial photography crews may receive approval on an individual basis with the prior written authorization from Snowbasin Resort. This prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operating above or within the area boundaries. This prohibition extends to any devices launched or operated from Resort property, as well as any launched from private property outside of the Resort boundaries. Please contact a Snowbasin Resort representative if you have any questions or if you seek prior authorization to operate any such devices within the resort's boundary area.

Any authorized operation of drones on or above Resort property will be governed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement, and/or U.S. Forest Service rules, as well as those policies separately established by this Resort, which may include certification requirements, evidence of training completion, insurance coverage documentation, indemnification requirements, and waivers or releases of liability. Any violation of this policy may result in any/all of the following: suspension of your access privileges to the Resort; the revocation of your season pass; confiscation of any prohibited equipment. Violators may also be subject to primary liability for damages; including, but not limited to, damages for trespass, violations of privacy, and physical injuries to persons and/or property, as well as legal defense costs.
