Snowbasin is throwing a new season kickoff party. Join us at The Moose is Loose, presented by Coca Cola, for a rail jam, film festival, season pass printing, and amazing food & drinks to get ready for Opening Day. Takes place inside and on the plaza of Earl's Lodge on Thursday, November 17th from 3pm to 8:30pm. Attendance is free.
Rail Jam
Registration for the rail jam is now open. It costs $10 and is limited to the first 100 contestants. All registration fees will be donated to Save a Brain to support their efforts to prevent Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs) and concussions. There will be prizes for the best trick, style, slam and more! DJ Bryson Dearden will be outside with music and fun for the event on Earl's Plaza. A helmet is required to participate and it features the following competition categories:

Daymaker by Warren Miller: Watch the exciting segment filmed at Snowbasin Resort with local athlete Tyler Blocker. The full film will be reased on Outside+ starting Nov. 25th.
No Bounds to Ride by Mission RanchPREMIERE: The premiere of an all-women's ski film, partially shot at Snowbasin Resort during the 2021-22 season. *Contains strong language.
Opening the Mountain by Brooks Roe: Go behind behind the scenes with Snowbasin Resort's amazing Snowmaking and Grooming teams as they get the mountain ready for winter.
A Little Rogue, A Little Rowdy by Salomon: Entirely skied, filmed and edited by kids under the age of 18. This film was showcased in Salomon's Quality Ski Time Film Tour.
Foyer, by Salomon: A short video welcoming the entrance of five all terrain snowboarders from across the world to the Salomon family household. This film was showcased in Salomon's Quality Ski Time Film Tour.
Crossroads Skate Shop Edits by Tristan Sadler: Check out an exciting highlight video filmed at Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Plus, an edit from last winter in Orson's Terrain Park.
Love. Sick. Brain. by Tristan Sadler: An urban snowboard film throughout Ogden featuring local riders. *Contains strong language.
Food & Drinks
Visit Earl's Lodge servery from 4pm to 8pm to check out new menu items for the 2022-23 ski season, including Bison Chili, Asian Noodles, Prime Rib and more. Coca Cola products are available plus local and local draft beer from Uinta Brewing for those ages 21+. Bring your mugs from the 2022 summer concert series for beer refills.
Mountain Market & Shopping
Our popular Mountain Market is back! We'll have local vendors in Earl's Lodge from 3pm to 8:30pm selling locally made crafts and other products, just in time for your holiday shopping. Also, be sure to visit our Grizzly Center for the latest outerware and equipment to get ready for the season.
Season Pass Printing and Tunes
Print your season pass between 3pm and 8pm to skip the line and head straight to the lifts when we open on November 18th. Also, our tune shop will be open to get your gear in top condition before Opening Day. Premier Pass Holders save 25% on all Snowbasin tunes and repairs. View Menu >>
