Snowbasin Unveils 2023 Summer Offerings

June 5th, 2023 —

Snowbasin Resort is ushering in a new season with the announcement of its 2023 summer offerings. Guests will be welcomed back to the mountain beginning Saturday, June 24, to enjoy the resort’s vast lineup of summer activities, including an expanded outdoor concert series, gondola-assisted biking and hiking and mountain-top dining. The resort will also be debuting the Overlook Deck, a new, expanded outdoor venue for summer and fall weddings.

“It’s hard to believe that summer is upon us after experiencing our longest ski season on record with more snow than ever before, but the time has come to welcome our pass holders and guests back for what is sure to be another extraordinary season on the mountain,” said Davy Ratchford, General Manager at Snowbasin Resort. “Our team has been hard at work clearing out snow and making way for summer fun, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for the exciting adventures that await this season. With the construction of a new lift, the opening of a new mountain-top venue and extended summer offerings, we are confident that this historic year isn't through with us yet.”

Snowbasin’s summer services and offerings include:

  • Gondola Access: Needles Gondola will run on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for guests seeking sightseeing experiences or lift-served hiking and biking trails. Tickets can be purchased in person or online. Snowbasin Premier Pass Holders will receive summer gondola access through the purchase of their annual season pass.
  • Mountain Biking & Hiking Trails: Snowbasin provides guests access to over 20 trails spanning 26 miles that can be accessed by foot, bike or gondola. With continued trail enhancements, bikers and hikers can access new points across the 3,000 acres spanning Snowbasin. Due to the historic snowfall this past winter, upper-mountain trails may be delayed. Additional trail limitations may occur as the resort begins work on its newest high-speed lift, DeMoisy Express, debuting in the upcoming 2023-24 winter season.
  • Elevated Dining: Snowbasin’s elevated dining experience will return with Mountainside Lunch served Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Earl's Lodge and Sunday Brunch at Needles Lodge from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. After a brief ride on Needles Gondola, guests can enjoy patio seating and views from 8,700 feet up. The resort’s all-you-can-eat expansive brunch buffet features award-winning dining with stations providing crepes, freshly carved meats, omelets, elaborate desserts and more. Brunch reservations are recommended and can be made online.
  • Mini-Golf: The family-friendly 18-hole Wildflower Mini-Golf Course, located at the resort’s base area, between Needles Gondola and John Paul Express, will be accessible to visitors Saturdays and Sundays during summer operations or daily for private events. Tickets are available at the resort or online.

Returning this season with an extended lineup and new hours is the resort’s popular outdoor concert series. Sundays throughout the summer, Snowbasin’s Blues & Brews and Oktoberfest-themed SnowWiesn events will take over the base area from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. providing guests with great music, delicious food and local brews. Tickets can be purchased online or in person ahead of the events. Premier Pass Holders will receive free entry. A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to the Ogden Valley Land Trust and GOAL Foundation to support their respective missions to enhance local communities.
