Lonely Planet has featured Snowbasin Resort in their guide to the best ski resorts in Utah, designating the mountain as "Best for Olympic-level skiing." The influential travel publication highlighted Snowbasin as one of the oldest continually operated ski resorts in North America, praising its expansive 115 trails, 13 lifts, and more than 3,000 acres of terrain. 

Lonely Planet emphasized the resort's surprisingly easy navigation despite its substantial size. The article highlighted Snowbasin's selection as the official Alpine Skiing venue for the 2034 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, noting the resort has already begun mountain upgrades in preparation, including new beginner terrain, updated chairlifts, and refurbished gondola cabins. The publication noted that all featured Utah resorts rate 4.5 stars or higher according to online reviewers.
