Snowbasin hosts large-scale private events that may impact trail access and available operations within the resort boundary. For summer 2022, we are hosting the following events.

Spartan Race

July 7 - July 10

Trails Closed July 7 - July 10 due to Spartan Race: Whole Snowbasin trail system is closed to bikers. Mountain biking guests can ride Middle Fork, Ogden Overlook, and other National Forest Service trails surrounding Snowbasin. If guests would like to hike the Cirque Loop and the Ridge Trail and then ride the gondola down on Saturday and Sunday, that is allowed. Also, the lower mountain Outer Moose Loop and Inner Moose Loop will be open to the public.

29029

August 18 - 21 and August 25 - 28

Porcupine Downhill trail and Middle Bowl trail are closed August 18 - 21 and August 25 - 28, to the public due to 29029. 29029 will also be utilizing the Summer Road towards the top of the mountain. We ask all public guests, bikers and hikers to share one side of the summer road, so the other side can remain open for 29029 participants. If you are a biker utilizing the summer road to access our other mountain biking trails, we strongly recommend walking your bike down this congested area. Thank you for your understanding!

Snowbasin Scuffle

September 3 and September 10

There will be no gondola-accessed mountain biking on Saturday the 3rd or Saturday the 10th due to the high school mountain biking races taking place across the mountain. Enjoy scenic gondola rides and cheer on the talented kids. If you would like to hike on the upper mountain Ridge Trail or Cirque Loop and ride the gondola down, that will be allowed. The trails within the resort boundary will experience high traffic Friday the 2nd and 9th, so just be aware.  Please respect this closure and hike/bike outside the resort boundary on US Forest Service Trails.
