Since 1940, Snowbasin Resort has provided access to a healthy outdoor lifestyle for its guests. The safety, health, and well-being of our employees, guests, and the community have always been of the utmost importance. We continue to monitor and adjust our protocols and procedures based on current guidelines to ensure that everyone can safely enjoy all that our resort has to offer.

Are you requiring reservations to visit the resort?
No, guests do not need reservations to visit the resort. However, we encourage you to purchase your gondola tickets in advance online to save and guarantee your spot on the mountain. Buy Now >>

Are you requiring parking reservations?
No, parking reservations are not required.

Do I need to show proof of vaccination to use any of Snowbasin Resort's facilities or amenities?
No, we are not requiring guests to show proof of vaccination to use any of our resort's facilities or amenities.

Are you loading Needles Gondola at full capacity?
Yes, we are loading our gondola at full capacity this summer. We will try to accommodate requests for less ridership in gondolas, but we cannot guarantee this request. 

Are face coverings required on resort property? 
No, state and local regulations do not currently require a face covering to be worn inside or in outdoor areas. However, we will continue to adhere to the recommendations and guidelines set by our local county and state officials and update our policies as necessary. 

Are Snowbasin Resort employees required to wear face coverings while at work?
At this time our team are not required to wear face coverings. Employees are required to follow all federal, state & local regulations regarding wearing face coverings in the event of close contact exposure or returning from COVID-19 quarantine/isolation.

Will Snowbasin maintain physical distancing on the mountain? 
Physical distancing will no longer be maintained in outdoor areas. Our lift line setup is returning to the standard manner of operations. We will be loading Needles Gondola at full capacity, but if you or a member of your party prefers to ride alone or does not wish to be grouped with guests from another party, we will try to accommodate, however, we cannot guarantee this request.

Where can I buy summer gondola tickets?
Lift tickets can be purchased online or at our ticketing yurt.

What will the on-mountain dining experience be like this summer?
Snowbasin’s elevated dining experience will return to Needles Lodge with lunch served Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After a brief ride on Needles Gondola, guests can enjoy patio seating and views from 8,700 feet up. The resort’s all-you-can-eat expansive brunch buffet features award-winning dining with stations providing crepes, freshly carved meats, omelets, elaborate desserts and more. Brunch reservations are recommended and can be made online.

Will there be limited capacity in your on-mountain lodges?
Our on-mountain lodges and restaurants will continue to offer guests a place to fuel up, relax, or meet friends and family for a much-needed break. We are not limiting capacity indoors but we will be evaluating this program as the season evolves to see what issues may exist.

Do I have to wear a face covering in your on-mountain lodges and restaurants?
No, state and local regulations do not currently require a face covering to be worn inside. However, we will continue to adhere to the recommendations and guidelines set by our local county and state officials and update our policies as necessary. 

Do I have to make a reservation to use your on-mountain lodges and restaurants?
Reservations are recommended but not required for Sunday brunch at Needles Lodge. All other on-mountain dining options will be serving guests on a first-come, first-served basis. For restaurant reservations and additional info, please click here >>

Can I bring my own food to eat in your on-mountain lodges?
No. For health and safety reasons, we kindly request that you do not bring food from home to eat indoors at our lodges. If you do bring your lunch, we ask that you eat it outside at your car. Please know this is against all restaurant policies in the State of Utah as bringing food in from the outside presents a health risk to others around you.

Can I pay with cash at your on-mountain lodges and restaurants?
Yes, we are accepting cash in addition to credit and debit cards.

Can I store my backpack/boot bag/shoes in or around your base area lodges?
No, guests are not permitted to store their bags, clothing, shoes, or other belongings in or around our base area lodges. This includes stashing personal belongings under or behind tables, chairs, desks, and staircases, as well as behind trees, shrubs, or other outdoor areas. Instead, we ask that you please utilize our convenient bag check station located at the entrance of our base area.

Snowbasin is taking the following steps to ensure the health and wellness of its guests.

  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are placed at key guest entrances and contact areas. Guests are encouraged to sanitize their hands upon entry to resort shops, restaurants, and buildings
  • Our properties use cleaning products and protocols that meet EPA and CDC guidelines. These protocols are  effective against viruses, bacteria, and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens
  • The frequency of cleaning and sanitation has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on high-contact surfaces including, but not limited to, ticketing areas, elevators and elevator buttons, door handles, public bathrooms, ATMs, stair handrails, dining surfaces, and seating areas

What is Snowbasin asking of its guests?

We ask that our guests adhere to the following personal health and hygiene standards:

  • We have and will strongly encourage, being fully vaccinated and/or boosted against COVID-19
  • Follow all standards provided by the CDC, Utah Department of Health, and/or the Weber County Health Department
  • Vulnerable individuals (aged 60 and older, individuals who are immunocompromised, or have underlining health conditions) should follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC and take enhanced precautions
  • Respect all other guests for their beliefs and values

What steps are Snowbasin employees taking with regards to health and wellness?

  • We have been and will continue to strongly recommend employees be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
  • Employees are required to stay home when sick and are required to follow all federal, state & local regulations regarding wearing face coverings in the event of close contact exposure or returning from COVID-19 quarantine/isolation.
  • Correct hygiene and frequent handwashing with soap are vital to helping combat the spread of COVID-19. Team members are encouraged to wash their hands frequently or use hand sanitizer when a sink is not available

The Snowbasin Courtesy Code is designed to maintain the spirit of respect that Snowbasin staff works on each day with its award-winning service standard.  We recognize that the passion of our guests can sometimes go too far, and unfortunately, conflicts or errors in judgment take place. It is never acceptable at Snowbasin to break the rules and hurt others through our actions. 

This includes verbal abuse that has become all too prevalent in today’s society.  At Snowbasin, respect and kindness are in our DNA.  It’s what we work towards and train on each day.  While we commit to delivering exceptional kindness and service, we ask our guests to do the same.  We want all guests and employees to come to Snowbasin and enjoy the resort and not worry about someone else’s actions causing them harm. Below are some things that can result in expulsion from the resort and loss of skiing privileges:

  • No outside alcoholic beverages and no open containers in areas other than restaurants
  • No consumption of tobacco or marijuana on property, including in lift lines, while riding lifts or in other public places
  • Offensive language including profanity is not allowed
  • Acting in a threatening way with staff or other guests, including throwing snowballs, is strictly prohibited
  • Shouting, making a scene and refusing to obey Snowbasin's direction on a particular policy is not allowed
  • Compliance with all COVID related policies and procedures is required to be at Snowbasin
  • Skiing or riding on someone else’s pass is strictly prohibited and can result in season suspension of both the pass user and owner of the pass
  • Littering and vandalism on resort property will not be tolerated

Snowbasin Resort reserves the right to revoke guest privileges for violations of the Courtesy Code. Please remember that we are both stewards of the Forest Service land we contractually manage with them and a private business. It is our responsibility to create an equitable, safe and respectful place to recreate and enjoy these precious mountains.
