Snowbasin Ranked No. 8 by Ski Magazine

Snowbasin is thrilled to announce that it was ranked No. 8 in SKI Magazine's 2021-22 Reader's Choice resort rankings.  The annual Resort Guide is based on the results of the Reader Resort Survey, the most comprehensive, trusted and longest-running rankings in the industry.

"The secret, it seems is out. This just might be the year to get off the beaten path and venture north to Snowbasin," SKI Magazine said about Snowbasin.

In previous seasons, SKI Magazine has consistently recognized Snowbasin as a top destination. In 2020-21, Snowbasin was ranked No. 2 for lifts, No. 3 for grooming and guest service and No. 8 for dining. In 2019-20, Snowbasin received their access award and was ranked No. 3 in dining and No. 6 for its efficient lift system. The resort hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and is regarded as a world-class destination.

"We are thrilled to be recognized as a top resort by SKI Magazine," said Davy Ratchford, General Manager of Snowbasin. "We're grateful to our loyal guests for their continued support showcased in these rankings. Moving up to the No. 8 position is a testament to the determination we all have at Snowbasin to deliver an incredible experience.”

Snowbasin's partner resort, Sun Valley, received the No. 1 ranking for the second straight season. Snowbasin offers several season passes that include access to Sun Valley. Premier Pass Holders can ski five days at Sun Valley and save 20% on lodging. The Sun & Snow Pass is also available, providing three days of access at each resort.  Season passes are on sale now with preseason pricing still available.

Snowbasin will announce an opening day for the 2021-22 season soon.  This season includes several upgrades to the guest experience, including replacement of Middle Bowl with a new express lift with expanded capacity. Additionally, Snowbasin's already high parking capacity was expanded by approximately 350 stalls.
