SPARTAN RACE

Trails Closed July 18th - July 22nd due to Spartan Race: Whole Snowbasin Trail System. Guests can ride Middle Fork, Ogden Overlook and other National Forest Service Trails surrounding Snowbasin.

Spartans, say hello to Snowbasin Resort on Mount Ogden. Located at the heart of the rugged Wasatch mountain range, Ogden’s no stranger to elite athletic events: this craggy course was home to the Winter Olympic alpine events back in 2002. But even in the off-season, the mountain’s scenic views and intense trails make it the perfect place for true adventure-seekers.

This is Spartan's first-ever trip to Mount Ogden, and they couldn’t be more psyched to see the Spartans in action. The trek to the summit will be challenging but that just makes the views from the top so much better.

WHY UTAH SUPER AND SPRINT?

1. The Utah Super and Sprint aren’t for the faint of heart. At a 3,000 foot vertical climb to the peak, this course is one of our toughest yet. We’ve lined up challenges for every skill set, and you’re gonna want to get training ASAP.

2. Your challenge awaits you at Snowbasin, a world-class resort on the slopes of Mount Ogden. There, you can take in the stunning Wasatch mountain scenery from the comfort of a high-speed gondola, or head out and explore on one of the 116 trails with a hike or mountain bike ride to the summit. Plus, the resort’s Blues, Brews & BBQ concert series every Sunday afternoon is a perfect way to wind down after a long day of racing.

3. Ever wished you could walk with dinosaurs? Got a passion for planes? Want to just catch a baseball game? Whatever your interest, Ogden’s got you covered. This quaint town is home to a variety of museums, shops, and outdoor activities, making it the perfect place to head with Spartans of all ages.

4. After the race is over, treat yourself to a night out in nearby Park City. While the town might be famous for its legendary ski season, Park City summers are a real hidden gem. Whether it’s enjoying a gourmet meal full of local ingredients at the award-winning Riverhorse on Main restaurant, grabbing a drink a the Wasatch Brewery, or just taking a walk down the city’s historic Main Street, heading out to Park City is well worth the trek.
