About the Artists:
Americana powerhouse vocal trio Red Molly is known for their gorgeous harmonies, crisp musicianship, infectious songwriting, and warm, engaging stage presence. Laurie MacAllister (bass), Abbie Gardner (Dobro), and Molly Venter (guitar) weave together the threads of American music — from folk roots to bluegrass, from heartbreaking ballads to barn-burning honky tonk — as effortlessly as they blend their caramel voices into their signature soaring, crystalline three-part harmonies. Organic musicianship, a respect for the traditions of American music, and an obvious love of crafting music together lend a joyous atmosphere to their legendary live performances, and a natural balance to their studio recordings.Gracing stages from Denver to Denmark, from Australia to Austin, Red Molly is renowned for their live shows. Four-time featured artist at MerleFest, breakout stars at RockyGrass, and the darlings of the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, the "Mollies" bring audiences to their feet, whether it's on a grand festival stage or in an intimate concert hall.
Jeff Crosby and the Refugees
Born and raised in Idaho, Jeff Crosby has been sharing his unique perspective of Americana throughout the US and beyond for the past decade. His songs are a collection from growing up in a small town in Idaho with all of the hardships and beauty of living in small-town America, to five years living in a shoebox apartment off Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles CA, then to traveling and living on the road playing 250 shows a year. Though recently making the move to Nashville TN, Jeff continues to spend the majority of his time touring the country.
New Sound Underground Marked by their high-energy, all-instrumental performances, New Sound Underground has become a must-see band in the Minneapolis music scene. The band stands out with all original songs, engaging arrangements and exhilarating live shows. Drawing inspiration from a wide array of styles including funk, jazz, fusion, rock, soul, R&B, and gospel, the band released its debut self-titled album in 2013, a year in which they also went on to play the Telluride Jazz Festival. This success has allowed the band to perform at prominent venues including First Avenue (Minneapolis), The Dakota Jazz Club (Minneapolis), The Twin Cities Jazz Festival ('13,'16), and Prince's renowned "Paisley Park: After Dark" series. In 2014, New Sound Underground partnered with the legendary venue First Avenue in Minneapolis to start a new concert series called "Funk on First" and held well-attended shows that included great local bands from the up-and-coming funk/fusion/jazz scene in the Twin Cities. New Sound Underground was voted "Best Jam Band of 2015" by the Twin Cities local paper City Pages. In March of 2016, the band partnered with Last Triumph's annual Take Off Tour to SXSW in Austin, TX. New Sound Underground will release its second album this Summer entitled Push and continues to captivate audiences with their original sound.
