Mt. Ogden Midweek Mountain Bike Race At Snowbasin Resort Offers Fun For All Ages

Snowbasin Resort continues to host the Mt. Ogden Midweek Mountain Bike Race Series, with 10 events taking place this summer. Races occur each Wednesday starting June 12th and conclude on August 28th with the exception of no race on June 26th and July 3rd. 

Registration starts at 5:00 p.m. before each event and races start at 6:30 p.m. There is a $20 registration fee each night and a one-time $15 plate fee for adults. A discounted Race Series membership is available for $120, including all ten races and the plate fee. For High School Mountain Bike Racers the cost is just $90. Snowbasin offers a kid race at 6:45 pm. Race registration is $25 for the series or $5 nightly. This is a race that is fun for all abilities and ages. Categories for both men and women include Pro, Expert, Sport, and Beginner. Additionally, Snowbasin offers a kids race at 6:45 pm. Snowbasin will offer food and beverage for purchase on Earl’s Plaza, providing a perfect place to bring the family and grab a bite in the cool mountain air.

Tim Eastley, Terrain Parks Manager says, “We are excited to offer the Mt. Ogden Midweek Bike Race Series again this summer. After the immense growth in last season’s participants, we are enthusiastic to see who comes out this year. With more people joining the sport and the high school cycling teams growing, this is the perfect avenue for everyone to practice their skills in a fun, competitive manner. Each week we have prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for  both men and women in our 4 divisions; Beginner (5-6 miles), Sport(10-12 miles), Expert(15-18 miles), Pro(15-18 miles) We also offer season point tracking for pro, expert and sport classes and the leaders in those divisions all season wear a Hyperthreads leaders jersey each race night. We hope to see you out on the starting line.”

Snowbasin Resort Announces Free Movies on the Mountain Line-Up

Snowbasin Resort is thrilled to announce the free Movies on the Mountain Series is back throughout the summer, starting July 1st with Space Jam. Snowbasin invites families and guests to watch a free feature film under the stars in the cool Wasatch mountain air on Earl’s Lodge Lawn.

In addition to the free movie, The Grizzly Center will be open for retail, Earl’s servery will offer a variety of dinner options and the Kids Adventure Zone features a climbing wall, bungee trampolines, and the newly added Wildflower Mini Golf Course.

Families can now come a little earlier and let the kids play prior to the movie. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and enjoy ‘dinner and a movie’ in the great outdoors. The Grizzly Center will open at 6:00 pm. The Kids Adventure Zone will open at 6:00 pm.  Food will be available from 6:00 pm – until the show starts at dusk. The menu will feature all the trappings of a theater experience with Snowbasin flair. After the movie begins, snacks and treats will be available until the film ends.

Snowbasin Resort Releases Blues, Brews & BBQ Free Summer Concert Line-Up for 2019

Snowbasin Resort releases the Blues, Brews & BBQ line-up with national and regional artists that will fill the mountain air with music every Sunday afternoon this summer starting June 9. Blues, Brews & BBQ is quickly becoming the most coveted free concert series in all of Utah and this year’s line-up will not disappoint. The free, live music rocks Earl’s Lodge patio and lawn every Sunday between 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm from June 9 – September 8. Three bands will perform each week, playing everything from blues to funk and Americana to rock-and-roll, offering a family-friendly environment for everyone to enjoy.

The 2019 Blues, Brews & BBQ concert series kicks off with Naughty Professor on June 9.  The fun continues all summer long with crowd favorites and powerhouse bands like Andy Frasco, Reckless Kelly, Keller Williams, Dead Winter Carpenters, Kris Lager, North Mississippi All-Stars and more.

Snowbasin Offers Spring Dining Events Not To Be Missed

Snowbasin Resort is offering spring dining events in April and May to continue the monthly elevated Dining Discovery experiences.  The new culinary leadership team Alan Dickerson, Director of Food and Beverage and Nick Davies, Executive Chef, is excited to share their fresh ideas with guests for an all-you-can-eat Easter Brunch and Mother’s Day Brunch. They are pleased to continue the Dining Discovery tradition at Snowbasin Resort and hope guests delight in new menu items like Eggs Florentine Benedict, Deep Fried Cinnamon French Toast, live chef stations and more.

Alan Dickerson, Director of Food and Beverage says, “Pull up a chair, take a taste, and come join us for brunch at Snowbasin Resort. Life is meant to be endlessly delicious and we are happy to share that with the Snowbasin guests.”

Easter Brunch is held in Earl’s Lodge from 10:30 am – 3:30 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2019. The adult price is $55, youth (6-12) is $30 and kids 5 and under are free. Mother’s Day Brunch is held in Earl’s Lodge from 10:30 am – 4:30 pm on Sunday, May 12, 2019. The adult price is $65, Youth (6-12) is $35 and kids 5 and under are free.
