Snowbasin’s Saturday Guided Tour Series
Snowbasin Resort has so much to offer during the summer that sometimes you just don’t know where to start! To help you enjoy your time on the mountain, Snowbasin is offering guided tours every Saturday this summer at 10:30. Topics include nature hikes, behind-the-scenes tours of Snowbasin’s mountain operations, and recreational activities to help build your outdoor skills.
This coming Saturday, head up for a Tour of the Cirques guided hike. This hike will take you up to and along the ridgeline with amazing views in both directions, from Ogden and the Great Salt Lake, to Ogden Valley and Pineview Reservoir. It’s amazing how the mountain landscape changes from winter into summer and your naturalist guide will help you enjoy this beautiful place. Expect this hike to be demanding but worth every ounce of effort.
Check out the How a Ski Lift Works, Ski Patrol & Snow Science, as well as the Science of Snowmaking Guided Tours to learn how the hardworking folks at Snowbasin help create your best day ever. Go underground to see where the chairs and gondolas are stored, learn about avalanche control and check out a snowgun, among other things, on these insider tours.
Most people who come to Snowbasin in the summer either go for a hike or a mountain bike ride. While these are great activities to do on your own, why not learn some skills in order to enjoy yourself even more? The Introduction to Mountain Biking and Hiking with Poles programs offer introductory skills clinics and tours to some of Snowbasin’s easiest trails. These are great family-friendly activities you can enjoy for a lifetime!
Tours include a snack and a souvenir bag. Come ready for a mountain adventure, and check the age guidelines and difficulty level before planning your tour.
