New Family Zone

By Megan Collins Fri Dec 14 2018 Skiing, Snowbasin Report, Snowboarding

Snowbasin is a popular destination for families and beginner snow sports enthusiasts. With the focus on making Snowbasin a friendlier environment for all skiers and riders, we are adding a new Family Zone in the Bear Hollow area.

Davy the General Manager says, “We realize Bear Hollow is a popular area at the resort and want to provide a friendly environment in this area. With that in mind, we have created a Family Zone in Bear Hollow. This will create a better guest experience for families and beginner skiers in that area. A Family Zone is similar to a “Slow Zone,” with emphasis including no jibbing, jumping or fast skiing and riding in this area.”

  • Bear Hollow is less than 1% of our overall terrain.
  • NO jibbing, jumping, or fast skiing and riding allowed on Bear Hollow. Skiers and riders who want to enjoy those aspects of the resort have 3 terrain parks and lots of other runs around the resort.
  • Alternative routes accessing the base of the mountain include utilizing Wildcat Traverse to Wildcat Bowl or choose other runs to head down outside of this area.

We will have staff regularly in the area to educate guests about the new area.
