Farm to Table Dinner at Snowbasin Resort Highlights Northern Utah’s Local Bounty
Snowbasin, Utah – September 9, 2015 – Snowbasin Resort’s Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday, September 26 will take guests on a culinary expedition of Northern Utah’s locally sourced food in a highly creative five course dinner. The local purveyors, artisans and farmers as well as the chefs will be on-hand to discuss the menu and the locally sourced items. Farm-to-table dining features the freshest ingredients, sourced minutes from where they will be enjoyed. “We participate in a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) with Borski Farms out of Kaysville, Utah so all our produce comes from just down the road. We love to feature local organic ingredients and enjoy supporting these local organic farming practices,” says Executive Chef Scott Sniggs.
Guests will take a scenic ride up the gondola to Needles Lodge with beautiful views of the fall foliage and the Ogden Valley. They will be greeted with a local meat plate with cheese from Gold Creek Farm and Creminelli Fine Meats as well as a Slide Ridge Honey and Fresh Peach Mimosa made with honey from bees located right on Snowbasin Resort property! The dinner menu will include a goat cheese and apple stuffed elk meatball with a blackberry gastrique, a lamb loin chop with peach chutney and citrus charbroiled baby carrot and Daily Rise Cold Brew chocolate cake with house made buttermilk ice cream and fresh berries. All produce will be sourced from local farm stands and Borski Farms in Kaysville, Utah. Purveyors include Borski Farms Produce, White Pine Elk Farm, Morgan Valley Lamb, Gold Creek Cheese, Daily Rise Coffee Company, Creminelli Fine Meats and Slide Ridge Honey Farms.
The Farm to Table Dinner will be at 6:00pm on Saturday, September 26 at Needles Lodge at Snowbasin Resort. The cost is $59 per person, which includes the gondola ride, 5-course dinner, live entertainment and your first signature beverage which can be made non-alcoholic.
