"You folks get to live the good life of working at Snowbasin and
grabbing all those epic powder days!! Here in little old Thomaston, CT,
all we can do is dream of the annual week out there!
I asked a local art student to paint this
mural inside my garage to remind me of all the good times that my
brother, Terry, and my buddy, Nick Samela, and I have enjoyed at 'Basin.
Hope to add my 17 year old son to the mural next Spring after his first
trip out there this coming February 2008.
The mural might seem a little hokey,
maybe it is, but we've had some AWESOME days on the mountain on the day
of a storm or a bluebird day after a storm, and we always look forward
to a great lunch with some stir-fry at the base lodge and the chance to
rest our 53, 49 and 47 year old bones on the way up the Strawberry
Express as we make cycles up and down all day long over on that side of
the mountain! The greeters out by the parking lot, the food service
folks, the staff at the ski-school service desk and all the liftees have
always been great to us over the years.
Thought you might want to see something
that a VERY satisfied snowboarder uses to remind him of your fantastic
area! Lord willing, see you in February 2008!
My apologies for letting people know
about Snowbasin . . . I know we are supposed to keep the area a secret!
Maybe I'll make them always use the front door and not pass through the
garage!!

list. The rankings were offered after surveying locals and ski
professionals. They also analyzed acreage, terrain and annual snowfall.

and wow you guys pulled that opening off fast with your amazing

talking to during the winter and getting to meet them again the

"For those who know how great Snowbasin is between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.,
having the entire mountain to yourself and a First Tracks mountain guide
at 7:45 a.m. is breathtaking! Two of us signed up last weekend, and we
enjoyed it so much, I brought five more friends up for it this morning -
for 14,000 vertical before breakfast!!
Whether for fresh tracks or corduroy,
First Tracks is not to be missed . . . a phenomenal Snowbasin
