| There's more than just racin' at
the Basin. Snowbasin's terrain parks are undergoing some major
changes. . . . Assistants Brendan Beardsley-Dusette, Timothy Hay and Sean
Brenchly are hard at work preparing the features for this year's
new parks.
Krazy Kat Park is located near the
base of the mountain and offers
a variety of smaller rails and boxes for the up and coming
rippers.
Near the top of Porcupine lift, next
to Porky Face run, lies Apex Park. The rails and features are all new for this year!
The park opened January 5, 2008.
Just south of the bottom of
Strawberry Express Gondola, near Coyote Bowl run, sits Coyote
Park, Snowbasin's newest terrain park. This is where you will
find the majority of our new features, which will consist of a
three-jump line, step-up jump, quarterpipes, 32 ft.
down-flat-down, 31 ft. "crayon" feature, 22 ft. flat-down, 10
ft. tall table-top rail, opposite c-rails, 10 ft. tall
wall-ride, several new boxes and plenty of other surprises.
The
Superpipe is located at the bottom of the Wildflower
Downhill Course and can be accessed from the ski area or it's own
handle tow lift, a unique feature of the pipe. At 340 ft. long,
17 ft. high, with a 19º slope, the pipe is designed to
provide a great experience, making it
a favorite at Snowbasin.
Additionally, Snowbasin's terrain
offers several natural halfpipes throughout the mountain. For
information about where they are located visit our
