Snowbasin Alpine Team Update
I just got home from our first race of the season and had to get a
message out to all. Our Junior Olympic Team has been racing in Park City
the last two days, and will be back for more on Sunday and Monday.
We have had some great highlights over the last two days.
Improved National Rankings
- Thursday we had 8 of 12 athletes improve their rankings.
- Friday we had 10 of 13 athletes improve their rankings.
- All 8 returning team members improved their results from last season,
with Parker Gray leading the "most improved" category with an 82 point
improvement.
Age Class Success
- Josh Elston won for the 1992 males on Friday.
- Destrey Enders was 5th for the 1994 females on Friday.
This success is due to the athletes' commitment, parental support,
coaches dedication, support from Snowbasin management and
professionally fit equipment. In addition, most of these athletes have
attended our summer, fall and thanksgiving camps as well as our
physical training at Weber State University.
I'm excited to see the improvement and am looking forward to more.
In addition, we will be sending three athletes to Mammoth, CA on Monday
to compete in the Western Region FIS series. Best of luck to Josh Elston,
Brittni Thomason and Allie Leininger as they represent our program and
Snowbasin Resort.
See you soon,
--
