Location
Located in the idyllic northern Utah community of Huntsville and the spectacular Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Snowbasin has established itself as the newest destination that savvy fans want to keep to themselves. With the completion of the 3½ mile Snowbasin Road in 2000, Snowbasin is an easy 43 mile drive from downtown Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake International Airport; and only 17 miles from the city of Ogden, UT.

Description
There is nothing as sweet as summer in the mountains. While it is sweltering in the valley, the climate at Snowbasin’s high elevations is perfect. The invigorating and crystal-clear skies provide cool breezes and a warm sun for all to enjoy. The wildflowers form a colorful blanket over the slopes, and the aspen leaves gleam in the wind. Only 40 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 20 minutes from Ogden, it is an easy drive to beautiful Snowbasin!

Dining Facilities
Seeking a change from typical resort fare? Our unique, light fares are sure to please. For breakfast, enjoy one of the delightful combinations at Needles. Lunch serves up an appetizing array of grilled, salad and deli items at Needles Lodge. Friday afternoons feature a BBQ on the patio of Earl's Lodge just in time for our Music on the Plaza concerts. On Sundays we have a brunch served on the patio of Needles Lodge. Of course we also offer scrumptious desserts for both meals. Our guests have been known to say they play on our mountain extra hard just so they can indulge in a little more homemade pasta or boar sausages and polenta by one of the many fireplaces. If you prefer to eat on the mountain, we also offer several delectable selections of picnic baskets available from Needles Lodge.

Yes, wireless Internet access is available in all of the day lodges and at the Grizzly Center.

Snowbasin's master plan includes plans for a complete resort package. Our building schedule has not been determined at this time.

3. What lodging is available close by the resort?
In the Ogden Valley there are condominiums, motels, B&B and private ski homes available. You can search for the properties at ovba.org. Ogden, UT, located 17 miles away, has a vast assortment of properties available. Accommodations there can be checked out at ogdencvb.org.
