| Snowbasin has four buildings
built specifically to enhance the resort for our guests. Three day
lodges, Earl's Lodge, John Paul Lodge and Needles Lodge; as well
as a guest services building named the Grizzly Center. The River
Run Plaza at Sun Valley, Snowbasin's sister resort, was the
inspiration for the new lodges at Snowbasin. Each centered
around a theme of grand fireplaces, the lodges were designed
with high ceilings and materials that were specially cut and
fabricated to perfection, such as the European imported marble,
high-quality white oak wood, hand cast bronze finishes and
custom-seave carpet from England. From the exterior to the
interior, every detail was attended to and each designed to
radiate an elegant cozy atmosphere.
Earl's Lodge
Earl's Lodge, at the base, is 45,000 square feet of mountain luxury. Framed entirely by spruce logs from the Canadian
forests, the interior is a sight to behold. Six massive
fireplaces
add warmth and atmosphere. The Lodge features a front row view
of the mountain face. Bookings for banquets, weddings, private
parties and reunions are available in this lodge. Special features include an Italian glass
green chandelier in the main dining room, an Italian glass
red chandelier in the lounge and
pottery by Eileen Murphy in the Huntington Room and lounge, that make Earl's Lodge a unique
and beautiful place to relax. Location:

John Paul Lodge (Closed for Summer)

killed in World War II before he could ever see the realization
of his dream for the mountain. The John Paul lift is named in
his honor and now the famed veteran has a new namesake in the
John Paul Lodge. The lodge is located at 8,900 feet and
is designed around a large, two-story, four-sided fireplace
where the visitors can look out over the
valley or up at Allen's Peak. Location:
Below Allen's peak, John Paul Express Quad provides access
to lodge.
Needles Lodge
Safely nestled at 8,750 feet is Needles Lodge. A windscreen surrounds the outdoor
eatery so visitors can enjoy the fresh
mountain air without the stiff mountain breezes. With large
picture windows, guests can enjoy the scenic vistas of both the
mountain and the Ogden Valley. Location:
Below Needles Peak, Needles Express Gondola provides access
to lodge.
