Mountain access is open to the public at your own risk. For the summer and fall season, this page will be your hub for hiking and biking trail access, weather and other things happening on the mountain.
We will open on weekends starting Saturday, June 15th for summer operations with lift assisted gondola rides for hiking and biking, concerts, dining and more. During the inital weeks of summer operations, it is expected that biking trails will be limited due to high snowpack. Lower mountain trails are beginning to thaw out and will be opened on this webpage once they are clear to recreate on.
During the summer, there are occasionally trail impacts due to major events taking place. During the first half of the season, those scheduled for Friday, June 7th with Ragnar, and the weekend of July 20-21 for Spartan. Stay tuned as other events may be announced.

Parking inventory is updated on weekends and holidays during the winter only. During the summer period, parking is abundant and is not expected to reach capacity.

All guests must use access gates regardless of website status. Website information is intended to inform the guest of terrain status, but it is the guest’s responsibility to confirm the area is open by entering through an access gate. Signage on the mountain supersedes website information. Failure to use access gates may result in loss of pass privileges.
Our terrain is home to some renowned ultra events. When these take place, there may be trail related impacts. Learn more about each event below.
The Ragnar Road Wasatch Back relay race will pass through Snowbasin on Friday, June 7th. Lower mountain trails will be closed as the race utilizes our terrain.

Spartan Race returns to Snowbasin for a trifecta of events on July 20th and 21st over an adventure filled weekend across our mountain. All Snowbasin trails will be closed to the public during this time as competitors utilize our terrain.

An event fit for the extreme hiker. You have 36 hours to climb 29029 feet, the equivalent height of Mt. Everest. Hike up the mountain, take the gondola down, and repeat. During this event, Porcupine and John Paul trails will be closed.
